Photo Story
September 2nd, 2009 by Dave

Photo Story is a free Microsoft download used to make movies from pictures. You can touch-up, crop, or rotate pictures, add special effects, soundtracks, and your own voice narration to your photo stories, and put on titles and captions. It is simpler than Movie Maker, but with a little less control and an inability to import video.

Breck used this at the start of the school year in the video above, and he wanted to write the step by step instructions on how to use it:

First, you open the program. Once you open it, click Begin new story.

Then there is a icon at the bottom that says, IMPORT PICTURES. Before you click it, make a folder on your desktop and name it ‘images’. Then collect the videos and pictures and put them in the folder.

Then click ‘IMPORT PICTURES’. Press CTRL and A and then select open. Put them in the slots under the icon. Then press the next arrow.

Then type a text. Then press next. Then record what you have to say. Then press next. Then you can add, or create music.

Press next. Press next again. Then you press “see video”.

It is a highly intuitive program, that is perfect for making a simple movie. Once you have your movie finished, put it on the web on YouTube…
